Printing is the process of pressing color onto a surface rather than drawing or painting it on. It's 'printmaking' week on the calendar, so let's try it at home!
There are three OPTIONAL art lesson possibilities listed here. One fun scavenger hunt 'challenge' and two printmaking lessons. There are recommended grade levels on the lessons, but you can do all of them if you'd like! I'd love to see your creations if you'd like to post them in the comments. Color Wheel Challenge
Go on a color wheel scavenger hunt around your house!
Materials
Colorful Items
A camera to take a pic of your creation!
Task
1. Watch The Color Wheel Song below.
2. Collect items of all different colors and arrange them in the order of the color wheel.
3. When your color wheel is finished, take a picture and post it in the comments below!
4. You are an artist, and artists need to clean up after themselves. Make sure you put all the items back where you found them.
